Volunteer Opportunities

There are many volunteer opportunities offered throughout the school year. We encourage and invite all parents, extended family, and caretakers to help contribute in both small and large ways. The time and energy you invest greatly shapes your child's academic experience and helps builds a greater sense of community.

In order to volunteer at ANY school event, parents are required to take a required Volunteer Orientation course, called VIRTUS training, that is conducted by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany. All employees of the Diocese and all volunteers who have contact with children must attend the program as a condition of employment or service.

For more information about VIRTUS training, or to attend a course, please visit:

Opportunities to volunteer include:

  • Participating in planning committees
  • Overseeing various games and events at our seasonal fairs
  • Visiting classrooms and sharing professional and/or educational insights
  • Participating in "Read to America" Day
  • Chaperoning field trips
  • Coordinating fund raising efforts
