Religious and Independent School Schedules
For the 2020-2021 school year, St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish School will maintain students in cohorts with their classroom teachers. Art, Music, and Library specials teachers will travel to the classrooms to minimize student movement throughout the school day.
We are currently opening in-person for all students, 5 days per week, for our regularly scheduled day of 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. During these hours students will participate in instruction in the following areas: Literacy, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Religion, Art, Music, Library and Physical Education.
Physical Education classes will be held outdoors, as much as possible, or within the gym. Our gym allows for students to be 12 feet apart.
Classes will be assigned two recess breaks and will be outdoors as much as possible using the playgrounds and lawn space.
School Masses will be live-streamed for each class so that large group, in-person gatherings are avoided.
With the hybrid or distance learning models, students will continue to receive instruction in all academic areas (see above) with regularly scheduled synchronous and asynchronous activities.
For information about how school schedule information will be communicated to students, families and staff members, visit the Communication/Family and Community Engagement section of our reopening plan.
